West Yorkshire Police have been flooded with thousands of reports of UFOs and aliens in the last three years. However, they won't release the details.
Since 2020, the force has logged a whopping 1,805 cases where ' UFO ', 'alien', 'UAP' or 'spaceship' has appeared in their records. This averages out to 56 a month, more than 13 per week, or nearly two per day. The county, which includes Leeds and Bradford, is known for its high number of alleged extraterrestrial sightings.
A Freedom of Information request was submitted to release the reports from January 2020 to August 2023. But the force said it would be too expensive. They did share one example, which read: "Male caller reports seeing four flashing lights hovering above his property in the street before a female was beamed into the sky."

"However it is not held in an easily retrievable format. During the period there were 1,805 incidents containing the words 'UFO', 'UAP', 'Alien' or 'Spaceship in the log text.

"To determine whether these incidents are related to believed sightings, we would need to review each incident in detail. At approximately two minutes per record, this would take over 60 hours. It has been estimated that the cost of providing this information is above the amount to which we are legally required to respond.

Retired police detective Gary Heseltine, 63, of Featherstone, West Yorks, who now edits UFO Truth Magazine.
He said: "It is a disappointing response and I am surprised that they do not have searchable keyword databases that could retrieve the information quickly. Interestingly they have admitted 1,805 UFO related events from 2020 which seems extremely high to me."
West Yorkshire Police Chief Constable John Robins said in June they have 2,000 less staff and have £140million less to spend since 2010.
