Tom Brady sent a savage message to his former teammate Julian Edelman regarding his height after meeting NBA phenomenon Victor Wembanyama on Tuesday.

The legendary NFL quarterback posed for a photo with the 7'4" San Antonio Spurs ahead of Wednesday night's game with the New York Knicks, with Brady looking tiny in comparison.

Standing at 6'4" himself, Brady had usually been one of the bigger players in the NFL, with many looking shocked to see him dwarfed by Wembanyama, with the now retired quarterback posting the photo across his social media platforms.

Brady posted: "Awesome to meet you, Wemby. Incredible young man. Usually I'd make some joke here about how I think I could get 10 and 10 against you, but let's be real... you'd send my jumper into club level!" He then added: "PS: @edelman11 This is how you felt all those years?"

The later comment to his former wide receiver Edelman was a joke on his height in comparison to Brady's, with Edelman being one of the smaller receivers to have played in the NFL over the last decade.

Edelman had been one of Brady's most reliable receivers for 10 years, with them combining for 36 touchdowns and winning three Super Bowl's together with the New England Patriots.

Edelman retired after the 2020 season, spending one season with Cam Newton as the team's quarterback after Brady joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - winning the Super Bowl in his first season with his new side.

Brady later made another joke about the picture - this time at his own expense. The NFL great re-posted the same picture, but this time had photoshopped himself to make it appear he was as tall as Wembanyama.

He captioned the second post: "Media outlets asking for permission to use this photo. Yes you may, here is the file. Disregard other photoshopped images of me and Victor."
