Jadon Sancho has allegedly been kicked out of the Manchester United WhatsApp ground after his clash with Erik ten Hag saw him banished from first-team training.

Sancho's problems at Old Trafford can be traced back to September when he accused Ten Hag of lying over the reason for his omission from the Man United squad for the 3-1 defeat by Arsenal.

Ten Hag had told the press that the Englishman hadn't been performing in training, with Sancho taking to social media to hit back at the allegations - a move that went down badly with his boss.

The Dutchman responded by exiling Sancho from the first team, with the £73million signing from Dortmund being forced to train with academy players. Mirror Football previously revealed that the 23-year-old was also barred from using all facilities including the first-team canteen, with Sancho now eating alone or with youth players at Old Trafford.

The Sun is now reporting that Ten Hag has taken things one step further by booting the forward out of United's WhatsApp group, which he and his staff use to update the first team.

Sancho is said to be unhappy with the way he is being treated at United but is refusing to apologise to Ten Hag, despite having deleted the controversial social media post.

Man United sources, meanwhile, have confirmed the situation between Sancho and Ten Hag has reached an "impasse", with no way back for the player until he decides to apologise to his boss.

United have been on a poor run of form without Sancho but picked up three points last time in a last-gasp victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage, with Bruno Fernandes getting on the scoresheet.

Ten Hag said after the game: "I am pleased with the spirit of the team and with the way we pressed. We saw this [a stoppage-time winner] against Brentford and we have seen it again. It is a good resilience. They know what the standards are.

"This is Manchester United - you have to win every game. This week we have not been happy with the standards and today we improved with our standards. Every game we have to bring the battle which starts with the right mentality and attitude, to show you are hungry with passion and desire."
