Katy Perry didn't have the kindest words for Meghan Markle on her wedding day back in 2018.
During a promotional tour in the US for American Idol, Katy said she "would've done one more fitting" in relation to the wedding dress Meghan was wearing. A source told The Daily Star: "Meghan is keenly aware of a comment that Katy Perry made in 2018 about her wedding dress and is notorious for holding a grudge.
"While the comment wasn't meant to be hurtful, Meghan felt under siege at that time and was overwhelmed by arguments with staff, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Thomas Markle," they added. The remarks were said to be raw for Meghan earlier this year, but it seems all has been forgotten following this weekend's antics.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen taking their seats next to the music icon as they settled in to watch Katy Perry's final Las Vegas residency performance on Saturday. Meghan and Harry were seen walking to their seats next to Celine Dion in a video shared by a fan on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Meghan and Harry have been long-time supporters of Katy Perry, with the Duke of Sussex revealing in 2021 that they are in fact neighbours. "Just two days ago, Orlando Bloom sent me a message — because he's just down the road and we sort of keep in contact," Harry said at the time, adding that they stay in touch over security in their secluded neighbourhood.
Katy's fiancé Orlando Bloom, who watched the show with their three-year-old daughter Daisy, struck up a friendship with Harry when they became neighbours after the Sussexes moved to Montecito, California in 2020. Speaking about Harry in 2020, the Hollywood actor said: "This guy is so nice, and I think he's got a great sense of humour.
"I hope he maintains that through this because they're sort of on a pedestal. We're showing real adoration to them in one form or another. I try to justify it, because quite frankly, if I'm honest, it's not like me to poke fun at anyone but it is done with affection."
