Ferne McCann made sure she gave her daughter, Sunday, a sixth birthday to remember this weekend.
The former TOWIE star, 33, told her followers she'd given her oldest child a "pamper party" to celebrate her big day. Sharing photos of Sunday, who was sporting a pink silk robe with her hair tied in bunches, getting her face and nails painted by a life-sized, lycra-clad Barbie, Ferne took to Instagram, posting: "The best concept for a 6 year old girl... brilliant pamper party thank you @mymagicalpartiesuk".
Sunday and her pals looked like they'd had a whale of a time as they played classic party games, danced excitedly, blew bubbles and listened to songs performed by the party organisers. They also had fun sitting on a huge parachute-type mat, surrounded by multi-coloured balloons, including one shaped into a huge pink '6'.
Earlier in the day, proud mum Ferne shared snaps of Sunday with her sparkly new Barbie house, which included a speed boat and a sun lounger for the doll, who was brought back to life in Margot Robbie's titular summer flick, which is one of the biggest grossing films in recent history.
After seeing the birthday festivities on Ferne's Instagram reel, many of her followers flocked to the comments section to congratulate the mum-of-two on her party planning skills. "Absolutely adorable" said one while another gushed: "The best barbies!!! Wow."
Mum slammed for cancelling son's birthday party after 'sexist' joke to friendsSunday became a big sister in July when Ferne gave birth to daughter, Finty, who she shares with fiancé, Lorri Haines. However, when she revealed she'd chosen 'Finty' for the tot, which is what actress Judi Dench called her daughter, Ferne spotted comments including “that name ain’t cute” and “she cannot be serious with that name”. Deciding enough was enough one of the reality star's legion of loyal fans leapt to her defence, saying: “The name means Pure cannot believe in 2023 people still think it's acceptable to leave such nasty comments. A lovely name and a beautiful new addition to a family. Congratulations guys.”
Despite having lots of fans on social media, Ferne admitted she's 'harassed' by other parents whenever she shares anything about her kids online, explaining: “I get trolled for whatever – especially when it comes to the children.”
Speaking on Saving Grace, Ferne continued to dub her critics “the mum police", saying “I don’t know if it’s mums and dads, but on my socials, it’s normally mums, and they come out in force.” Listing the things she’s received negative comments about, the First Time Mum star, listed everything from feeding techniques to how you dress your kids.
She revealed: “No matter what – whether you breastfeed, dummies, muslin, the way you support their head – how people can see that in a picture, I don’t know – to what you dress them in and call them, everyone has an opinion.”
