Priscilla Presley has claimed that her daughter Lisa Marie became "really concerned" during her marriage to singer Michael Jackson.
Lisa Marie, who died in January 2023, married the controversial musician in 1994 but their marriage only lasted two years before they went their separate ways. Now, Priscilla has claimed that her daughter who she shared with Elvis Presley raised several concerns throughout their relationship.
In a rare interview, Priscilla, 78, opened up about her late daughter and how Michael Jackson was said to be scared of her and hid whenever she was around. Speaking to Piers Morgan, the businesswoman and actress who met Elvis when she was 14, she said Lisa's concerns started to grow when Michael was away.
"I was honest with her," she told Piers on his TalkTV show, before adding: "I remember being in Hawaii and we were walking together on the beach, and she said, 'Mom, I'm really concerned,' this is while they were married, and she said, 'I never see him. He is always gone'."
Priscilla went on to add: "I go, 'where does he go?' She goes, 'I don't know, I don't know where he goes. He will call me maybe three or four days later,' I said, 'Well don't you ask him where he is going?' She goes, 'Just said he has things to do'." Priscilla also documented her concerns over Lisa and Michael's marriage.

She goes, 'I don't know, he doesn't think you will like him.' I said, 'I've hardly talked to him, because he always hides.'
"We were at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, and I went to see her at her suite, and we were talking and then all of a sudden I said, 'How is Michael?' She said, 'He's getting dressed', and I go, 'Okay'. So he pops out, really quickly, to get his hat that was left on the end table, and then rushes back and closes the door. I said, 'God, do I scare him that much?'"
Lisa Marie and Michael first met in 1975 when she attended a string of his Las Vegas concerts. Just one year prior to their nuptials in 1993, Jackson was accused of sexually abusing Jordan Chandler, who was 13 at the time. Jackson denied the allegations. He proposed to Lisa over the phone having confided in her throughout the ordeal. They had married on May 26, 1994, in a private ceremony.
