It appears the Black Friday madness has started early, and there are great deals popping up everywhere, but this extremely tasty discount on a premium robot vacuum cleaner really caught my eye.
If you've never used a robot vacuum cleaner before, the autumn has got to be the best time to take the plunge. Soggy boots, muddy dogs, detritus dragged in from the autumn leaves, and a lack of daylight hours to do it yourself.
Honestly, the sheer luxury of being able to let a robot take over one of the most monotonous household chores is a joy.
There are lots of big brands out there offering robot vacuums for even as little as £100, but I've tested plenty, and I know it's well worth getting a good one.
And it seems we might not need to wait until Black Friday itself, because Amazon has knocked 42% off the Samsung Jet Bot Robot Vacuum Cleaner, which brings the price down from £599 to £345.

That is quite a bargain for a LiDAR-equipped robot from such a big brand. LiDAR, incidentally, is the technology that lets the robot "see" around your house. It makes mapping a doddle, and helps with obstacle avoidance. Oh, and it comes with a five-year warranty. Good old Samsung.
There's no self-emptying facility on this model, but that makes for a more compact base station - and this will be an ideal investment for anyone who already has Samsung smart tech in their house, because it hooks up to the SmartThings app and ecosystem.

It's worth mentioning another deal that caught my eye, too. I'm a big fan of Eufy, and this RoboVac LR30 Hybrid+ is currently discounted down to £379.99 from its original price of £499.
This also has a laser navigation system but, unlike the Samsung, it features a self-emptying docking station, which can be really handy if you've got the space.
There is also a mopping function, with an on-board water tank. As it's a static mop, rather than rotating mop heads, this won't be its best feature, but it's great for a simple wipe-down of hard floors.
