The draw for the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup will take place on November 1 between 10:15pm and 10:30pm.

We're approaching the business end of the Carabao Cup, with 14 teams still in contention. Two teams have already booked their spot in the quarter-finals, with Michael Carrick's Middlesbrough winning 3-2 at Exeter and Port Vale recording a 1-0 triumph at Mansfield. Six more ties will take place on Wednesday night, starting with Arsenal's trip to West Ham.

Bournemouth will host Liverpool, while Blackburn will try to complete a famous upset at Chelsea. There's also a clash between Premier League relegation candidates Everton and Burnley at Goodison Park, as well as Fulham's trip to Kieran McKenna's Ipswich.

The most glamorous tie of the round takes place at Old Trafford, as Manchester United host Newcastle in a repeat of last year's final. Erik ten Hag's side defeated Eddie Howe's team 2-0 in that showpiece event, with Casemiro and Marcus Rashford scoring.

A lot has changed since that final. Ten Hag is now in danger of losing his job at Old Trafford following a slow start to the season, while Newcastle are recording famous victories against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. This tie could go either way.

Several big teams have already been knocked out of the tournament, including Brighton, Tottenham and Manchester City. The latter's exit is a huge boost for the favourites, as Pep Guardiola's side won four consecutive Carabao Cups between 2018 and 2021.
