Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Thomas has shared a cryptic post as illness threatens to rule him out of tonight's Halloween special.
The actor was forced to pull out of a TV appearance this week after falling ill, forcing partner Luba to share his excuses and share her hope that he'd be back with her soon.
A spokesperson for BBC later revealed that there was still doubt as to whether the Waterloo Road star would be fit for Saturday night as the health of cast and crew was their 'absolute priority.' Adam had already been forced to cancel his training schedule last week after fears of a flu outbreak among the cast.
As his next live performance is still waiting to be given the green-light by producers, Adam took to Instagram to share a thoughtful post.
Adam shared a post that read he was 'letting go of what no longer serves' him in 2024 and other pledges for the year ahead. The star, 35, has yet to speak on his illness or confirm whether he will be performing tonight in the hotly-anticipated Halloween special.
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likenessNews of his plight was first revealed by It Takes Two presenter Fleur East on Friday night who told viewers: "Unfortunately Adam is feeling a bit under the weather, but please give it up for the lovely Luba Mushtuk." Giving further insight, Luba responded: "It's so strange to be here by myself."
"[Adam] is resting now. He just didn’t feel very well but he is resting and getting ready for tomorrow night," she added hopefully.
Adam had previously revealed that his wife and two children were travelling down from Manchester to see him in action this weekend.
A BBC spokesperson has since told the Mirror: “We are hopeful Adam will be better and able to perform this weekend. There are contingencies in place should he not be able to. The health and well-being of the Strictly cast and crew is production’s absolute priority.”
This week the Strictly pairings will take part in a spooky Halloween extravaganza, which is often billed as one of the biggest nights on the BBC dance competition. The group is already one couple down this week with Amanda Abbington deciding to leave the show earlier this week citing 'personal reasons.'
The Sherlock actress pulled out of last week's live show and days later confirmed she was leaving for good. The BBC have yet to confirm whether Adam will be joining his co-stars tonight.
It was set to be a special weekend for the star with his wife Caroline travelling down from Manchester to watch him perform.
An excited Adam had told his Instagram followers that Caroline was making the trip down to see him in action with their two children. However their youngsters would not be able to attend the live recording due to a strict 14+ age limit, but Caroline said they were thrilled to have the chance to watch the rehearsal.
