A mum who waited weeks for her wall-sized home decorations to arrive was left stunned after they finally turned up.

Lolly, from Ruislip, northwest London, ordered some large feather home accessories from eBay for £12.99. But she was baffled when she received a small A5 envelope which contained three miniature versions instead.

The property developer hoped the decorations' mirror effect would make her home look bigger until they arrived at her door. She had planned to place them in the hallway, leading up the stairs. Lolly, who is also a DJ, told the Mirror: "I was wondering what was in the envelope and when I opened it out dropped eight tiny grey shapes. I realised they were supposed to be the wall coverings and I could do nothing but laugh."

Upon closer inspection, she discovered the items were wrongly listed from the UK and were from China, hence the lengthy wait. Despite being let down, Lolly was able to see the funny side. "To think I waited so long for my order and this is what I got," she said. "Some people would be upset but with everything we have been through it was nice to have a laugh." The mum decided she wasn't going to request a refund from the seller and settled for a few laughs instead.

She explained: "The laugh it gave me and my friends was worth the £12.99. When I put it on my Facebook page I took pictures of it next to a computer mouse and a TV remote so people can see just how small they are and the amount of laughter it caused makes it worth every penny. I think the next time I want something from my home I'll go to the shops. At least then I know exactly what I'm buying!".
