Leigh-Anne Pinnock has hinted her husband Andre Gray cheated on her in the past, as she admitted they had "toxic" situations.
The Little Mix star opened up on the "struggles" and "negative" side to love. It comes after the singer wed in lavish ceremony in Jamaica earlier this year. The couple share two young children, having welcomed twins in 2021. Leigh-Anne and Andre have been famously private about sharing information on the infants' lives as they have withheld their names and sexes from the public.
The pop star met the footballer in Marbella seven years ago and appeared to be going from strength to strength. Yet Leigh-Anne has since given a candid insight into her romance with Andre, admitting it hasn't always been easy. She confessed she loves "really hard" and that despite showing a perfect picture on the outside, it is "not always the case".
“We’ve been through so much to the point where we could’ve split up, but we got through it, and I truly believe we had to go through all that to be the strongest couple we could be," Leigh-Anne told Glamour magazine. She hinted that Andre got into "potentially toxic situations" during their early days and admitted he had a "lot of growing up to do".
Leigh-Anne also pointed blame that some of their relationship issues came from the toxic masculinity in "his environment". She confessed to finding the stereotype surrounding footballers "quite true". Yet the pop star shared how her husband matured and moved past those difficulties. In a telling statement, Leigh-Anne shared: "I think people often think that if something bad happens in a relationship – if you get cheated on or whatever – that it’s automatically done, it’s over.

The singer shared how she has something "special" with her husband as she was determined to "fight" for it. The singer, 31, shot to fame on The X Factor with the girl group Little Mix and went on to have nineteen top-ten singles and five number-ones. Leigh-Anne - who recently released her solo single Don't Say Love ahead of her first album - opened up on her own experiences in the industry, admitting it has been "traumatic".
Little Mix went on a hiatus in May 2022 after being together as a band for 12 years without a break. Following their break, the singer has released her own music and reflected on her experiences so far. Leigh-Anne shared how, as time went on she would think "‘Was that racist?’". She said: "Just little things I was questioning, but also feeling quite alone with it… I just pushed it down and down and down. I think that’s why I’m still trying to heal from it."
"It was so weirdly traumatic without even knowing it because I was just getting on with it," she told Rolling Stone UK. In June, Leigh-Anne wed Andre in a gorgeous ceremony in front of their friends and family. She wowed in a huge white ballgown style dress that featured a long train and sheer bodice. Leigh-Anne kept her hair in a sleek bun as she wore a veil that cascaded all the way down to the floor. Their beach ceremony took place surrounded by multiple bouquets of white roses and a huge palm tree covered in the white flowers.
