RECUERDAME has what it takes to win the Unibet Support Safe Gambling Handicap (6.30) at a big price at Kempton tonight.
Simon Dow’s seven-year-old is something of an all-weather specialist and he knows how to win around the Sunbury polytrack, having succeeded three times over the same mile trip.
He has been in decent, if occasionally inconsistent, form this year, but he has still three victories from 13 starts, the last of which was at Kempton at the beginning of last month and was his best, coming with a smooth run on the outside to score comfortably by a length and three-quarters.
He returned to the course 14 days ago, where he ran well to finish fourth, having been held up in the rear behind Green Power and Wizarding.
He looks well in at the weights and should run a big race.
