LeBron James was left scratching his head by Josh Allen using his name during a play during NFL's opening game of the day in London on Sunday.

In the second quarter, Allen made a change when he hadn't liked what he saw from the Jacksonville Jaguars defensive scheme and changed the Buffalo Bills play from a pass to a run.

And his term to let the offense know what they would be doing was for him to use James' name, which was picked up by the cameras nearby. James, who had obviously been watching on from his Los Angeles home, tweeted: "I wonder what that "LeBron James" audible Josh Allen yelled out meant. Lol."

For what reason the Bills decided to name the play after James is unclear, but it was one that seemed to work with the Bills going t score on that drive.

Allen had his best drive of the day on that play, connecting with a number of his receivers before finding is superstar receiver Stefon Diggs on a go-route. The Bills offense, on every other drive, had stuttered in the first half with only one score.

The Jaguars had impressed offensively, scoring a touchdown of their own with Zay Jones finding the endzone, while quarterback Trevor Lawrence played one of the best halves he's played this season.

A number of fans had mocked James and the Bills in reaction to his tweet, with many Buffalo fans being angered by their performance.

One wrote: "The audible means 'lets throw away another championship," while another said: "It means lets start flopping and moaning to the referees."

The Bills came into London riding a three-game winning streak after their disappointing loss to the New York Jets on the opening day of the season, impressing on both offense and defense.

And while their lack of creativity on offense in London will be worrying, what may be more damning is their losses on the defensive end of the ball.

After losing Tre'Davious White last week as he tore his Achilles tendon, they may have now lost star linebacker Matt Milano, who left the game in the first quarter on a cart, with fears that he may have damaged his ACL.

Buffalo will remain a Super Bowl contender without the two should that be the case, but they may look to the trade window if Milano's injury is a serious one.
