Former A Place in the Sun star Danni Menzies has hinted that she's split from Love Island star Jay Younger after posting a cryptic clue on her Instagram.
The TV presenter and property expert and the reality TV star sparked fuelled romance rumours after they enjoyed a weekend together in Scotland during the summer. The pair reportedly checked into a hotel in Mykonos in July.
At the time, Danni revealed she had been on five dates and said: "I just want a man and a country house." However, their blossoming romance quickly turned sour as Danni and Jay appear to have gone their separate ways and have since unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Jay was a contestant on Love Island in 2022. Arriving in the villa, the Scottish hunk set sights on series winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu. Despite sharing a kiss with Ekin-Su, the Turkish actress stayed loyal to Davide Sanclimenti. Jay later turned his attention to Chyna Mills, but it wasn't meant to be as he friend-zoned the former youth worker after they returned from Casa Amor.
Last year, Danni, quit her role on the Channel 4 property show and candidly admitted it was hard to have a relationship outside of her job. She revealed: "There were quite a few things that were hard to do when I was doing the show, like have a relationship. Like when you go on a date you’re packing your bag every week doesn’t really happen, so I just thought it’s time for a change."
A Place in the Sun couple with 'lowest budget ever' slammed over cheeky offerShe told The Express, : “I've tried relationships over the years, and it's very difficult when you start dating someone and then you go, ‘Oh by the way I'm just off for three weeks’. So, I won’t lie about that, it’s been very difficult for me to nail that part of my life. But I am working on it.”
Revealing she quit her presenting role, Danni said at the time: "After six years on the show and about a hundred shows filmed, I've decided to hang up my summer dresses. The show has been such a huge part of my life, and I'd just like to thank and send love to all of the wonderful people I've met on this journey who made it so special."
