Roman Kemp was told off by The One Show co-host Alex Jones on the BBC One show as he responded rather awkwardly to a question from Friday's guest, Luke Evans.
The Hollywood actor was on the evening BBC show to promote his new play, Backstairs Billy, in which he plays the Queen Mother's devoted servant.
Dame Penelope Wilton also stars as the Queen Mother in the play, which is at the Duke of York's Theatre from the end of October and the veteran actress pointed out that 20% of tickets to the show would be available for £10 for "younger people to come to the theatre".
This prompted Luke, known for his Hollywood roles in Beauty and the Beast and The Hobbit trilogy, to ask the Welsh presenter and her co-host, Roman perceived themselves as young.

Reacting to this, Alex pointed to herself and scowled as if to say 'no', while nodding as she pointed to her 30-year-old co-star Roman. Responding to Alex's gestures, Roman said: "I didn't want to say anything, I didn't want to say anything!"

"I'm just checking," Luke said innocently, before Roman was put in his place as Alex reprimanded him for his cheekiness, prompting him to shout out: "Sorry, sorry!"
Leaning into this skit, Alex said: "You're my Billy," referring to William Tallon, causing Roman to fall about in stitches as he confirmed: "I do have to make the tea! I'll take that, I'll take it."
Roman was recently announced as one of The One Show's permanent presenters along with Lauren Laverne. Back in August the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here personality joined Lauren as the show's two fresh faces with Roman as Alex Jones's regular co-host alongside Jermaine Jenas.
