Boyzone could reunite just four years after the quartet took their final bow following a huge career.

The Irish stars dominated the charts from 1993 until they initially announced a hiatus in 2000, seven years after they were catapulted to international fame. However this lasted seven years and they finally reunited in 2007, before calling it a day in 2019.

But while there had been speculation that they may reform in 2023 for their upcoming 30th anniversary, Ronan Keating had ruled this out and recently stood by his point as he addressed crowds at PopWorld Live. The reason the ruling out a reunion is due to the tragic death of late band member, Stephen Gateley, who died in 2009.

Now Keith Duffy has hinted that Ronan's statement may no longer stand should their upcoming Sky TV documentary go down a storm with their dedicated fanbase. In a new interview, Keith has hinted that following the success of the WHAM! documentary, he and the lads will be back on stage.

"That Wham! doc was so huge. If George Michael was still alive, Wham! would've gone back out to do a few concerts," he told The Sun. He added: "Maybe after this Boyzone documentary comes out, there'll be an appetite for us to perform again." Boyzone's story will be shared in a three-part documentary series.

The documentary will follow their meteoric rise from performing intimate shows at rural pubs in their native Ireland before going on to performing in stadiums across the globe. Keith continued: "We were spat at, we were glassed (at the start). But we grafted our way to the top and earned our right to play arenas all across the world."

Over the course of their career, Boyzone have sold over 20 million records across the globe and all 16 of their singles have charted in the UK top five. They became the first Irish act to have four Number 1 hits in the Official UK Charts.

On April 30, 2018, the official X (formerly Twitter ) account for Boyzone announced they would be disbanding following their 25th anniversary. They said: "The news is out and yes, it's true... Our new album will be the last for Boyzone. We've had twenty-five amazing years and we promise you that this will be our biggest and best year yet. Watch this space..."

Meanwhile, ex-Boyzone member Shane Lynch who now resides in Cheshire with his wife Sheena recently blasted the music industry Shane who has stepped away from music and is pursuing his love for fast cars said on The Profile podcast: "I've been in rooms – at the top of the top – where albums are prayed over demonically. Music is prayed over demonically that goes out to the radio stations, to the public.

"When you see that stuff, it's frightening. Rituals, ceremonies, everything to give light to the devil, to Satan. It's a satanic music industry." But when quizzed as to whether he meant an actual Satanic ritual or whether he was speaking in a figurative sense, he commented: "Literally. Yes."
