UFC legend Conor McGregor spent an exciting night both on and off stage with rap icon Snoop Dogg at the RDS in Dublin on Monday night.

The Irishman headed to see Snoop Dogg at the 6,500-capacity venue in his hometown on Monday night after welcoming the musician to his pub The Black Forge Inn the previous night. McGregor couldn't make it the first evening, but was there in force on Monday night as he was brought on stage with Snoop's dancers before partying behind the scenes with the rapper.

And in one photo the Irishman can be seen holding a joint, although whether or not he actually smoked is unclear from the snap. He can also be seen in one of a series of pictures he posted drinking his Proper Twelve whiskey with Snoop, as well as introducing him to his fiancee Dee Devlin.

"Snoop and The Mac, put it in the history books," McGregor wrote in one of two Instagram posts about the event. "At Ireland’s well oiled machine." In another, he tagged his brands Proper Whiskey, Forged Irish Stout and The Black Forge Inn added: "Snoop Dogg and his whole team were outstanding! #SoWasMine."

McGregor is currently in training for his return to the octagon, although it appears that this year will be yet another to pass him by without a fight after suffering a broken leg in the summer of 2021. He returned to sparring around Easter of last year, but has been unable to nail down a comeback date this year even after coaching opposite Michael Chandler on The Ultimate Fighter.

He has been back regularly attending sessions at SBG Ireland and his childhod boxing gym in Crumlin, and was keen to fight in December at UFC 296. But that event has now been filled with a welterweight title fight between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington as well as an host of other major names.

His last fight was a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July of 2021 when he suffered a gruesome broken leg that saw him take a second consecutive loss to the American. Since then he has never stopped training, bulking up considerably as he continued to train his upper body while immobile until eventually getting back to the gym properly and being fully cleared for competition.
