Summer is going to make, what looks like, a final comeback this month with hot weather forecast across much of the UK before the end of September. Despite flooding in recent days as autumn takes hold, before the month is out much of the UK will see one day when temperatures rise to 20C and over.
The best of the weather looks like its heading for East Anglia with Norwich expected to see balmy weather and 23C on Saturday, September 30. London, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Hull, and Birmingham are also forecast to get 20C and possibly a little warmer on the day.
The unseasonably hot Mediterranean weather at the end of the month is set to offer what could be Brits' last chance this year to get the shorts on and the BBQ out. Remarkably, according to weather app Ventusky, the last day of September is likely to be largely dry with only north-west Scotland expected to see downpours.

According to the Met Office long-range forecast for Friday, September 22, to Sunday, October 1, it looks like our very last gasp of summer.
The Met Office said: "The showers are likely to ease from the west leading to a mainly dry start to the weekend (September 30 and October 31). Conditions will probably become more unsettled later in the weekend and into the following week as low pressure systems lie to the west or northwest of the UK.

"This will bring showers or outbreaks of rain across many areas, with some heavy bursts at times, especially in the north and west. It will often be windy, with a small chance of a spell of very strong winds around the middle of the period. Temperatures are likely to remain near normal."
So, make the most of our last fleeting spell of warm weather. It's likely to be the last we get in 2023.
