Sir Nick Faldo has reignited a 15-year feud with LIV Golf star Sergio Garcia, after the Spaniard took aim at former Ryder Cup teammate - and LIV critic - Rory McIlroy earlier this week.
Whilst competing at LIV Golf's season-opening event at Mayakoba, Garcia addressed his ongoing feud with former friend and teammate, McIlroy. The Northern Irishman has been one of the breakaway circuit's big critics, and this has seemingly led to the end of his relationship with Garcia.
The 2017 Masters champion discussed his fallout with McIlroy in Mexico, and admitted that the four-time major winner's 'lack of maturity' is to blame for the breakdown in their friendship.
He told the Telegraph : "I think it is very sad. I think that we've done so many things together and had so many experiences that for him to throw that away just because I decided to go to a different tour, well, it doesn't seem very mature; lacking maturity, really.
"But Rory's got his own life and he makes his own choices, the same way that I make mine. I respect his choices, but it seems like he doesn't respect the ones I make. So a one-way street." Faldo however believes Garcia is the 'immature' one.

This is of course not the first time Faldo has been a big critic of the LIV Golf man. Their feud seemed to initially begin at Valhalla in 2008, when Faldo acted as Europe's Ryder Cup captain, as they suffered defeat to their American rivals. One man the captain was less than impressed with, was the usually firing Garcia.

Host Terry Gannon described the Spaniard's Ryder Cup contributions as 'spectacular' before Faldo interjected: "'Yes, apart from one."
Referring to 2008, the former captain went on: "He was useless. Half a point, bad attitude. Anyway, we move on six years later.'' The Spaniard has since become the event's highest scoring player, and overturned Faldo of all people when competing in Paris in 2018. Currently on 28.5 following his performance at Whistling Straits two years ago, it looks unlikely Garcia will be able to add to his tally in Rome this year, due to his LIV Golf allegiances.
