Cher Lloyd has given birth to her second child, who she shares with her husband, Craig Monk.
The X Factor star, 29, announced the news on Instagram with an adorable first photo of the tot, sending her legion of loyal fans into a frenzy. The singer posted an adorable black and white photo of the tot's torso. Cher's newborn is wearing a white baby grow with a heart embellished on and the words: "I love my sister" can be read inside the heart. As she confirmed the arrival of her second-born child, Cher penned in the caption: "ELIZA VIOLET 9/9/23".
Cher and hairdresser beau Craig are already parents to daughter Delilah-Rae, five, who is no doubt delighted to be a big sister. The Want U Back star revealed she was expecting her second baby earlier this year as she shared a photo of her bump, which Delilah sweetly kissed.
Cher wrote in her Instagram caption: "Thank you for all the lovely messages, we’re over the moon."
The singer first found fame on The X Factor when she was just 16-years-old. However, she has since said she doesn't want her children to follow in her footsteps, saying she was an "angry teen"
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tourShe told the Sun on Sunday: "If I had a 16-year-old daughter, I wouldn’t let her do a show like that. I wasn’t ready and it just messed with my head." Cher added she was a "very confused, angry 16-year-old", which led to her making several mistakes. Her mentor Cheryl was wowed by the plucky teen's swag as she strolled onto the stage in 2010 channelling her inner Soulja Boy.
After the Geordie star told the Malvern-born singer she was "right up her street", the pint-sized pair seemed the perfect match. But then things took a turn when Cher was branded the "most hated teen" in Britain after she was accused of diva behaviour.
She left the show in the first round of the finals and ended up clashing with mentor Cheryl after she accused her of abandoning her. Speaking about her time on the show, Cher told the Guardian in 2020: "Looking back I can see why people thought I was a nightmare and I'm totally embarrassed.
"That's one of the hardest things for me to deal with because that's my past and you've sort of got to look at it as a huge learning experience. It's literally like taking your trousers down and doing a p**s in front of the world."
The singer moved to the US in 2012 and achieved a number 12 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with Want You Back. However, her second US single Oath came in at number 73 and in 2014 she split with her American label Epic. She has since moved back to the UK and continues to release music. Admitting she had to do some 'damage control', Cher concluded: "I’m mother to a little girl. I’ve released two albums and I’ve got a top 10 hit in America. I’m not ‘the most hated teen. We’ve moved on!"
