A month after giving birth, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have revealed their second child's name as Riot Rose Mayers.

The 35-year-old Umbrella hitmaker and rapper welcomed baby number two on August 3, months after announcing they would be parents for the second time at the Super Bowl half-time show in February.

Since then, fans have been at tenterhooks waiting to find out their new bundle of joy's name, until not. With their eldest son RZA also having a name beginning with 'R', fans have been left scratching their heads at the choice of Riot Rose Mayers.

While it divided many people, one fan tweeted: "I've heard the name Riot before and I gotta admit, I'm pretty into it. It's a sick name. & I think it blends well while also standing out because of the phonetic similarity to the name Wyatt but also it standing alone as a word itself, one that sparks a chaotic energy. I think it's cool. I think they made a good choice."

Referencing Riot's standard dictionary meaning of "a violent disturbance of the peace by a crowd", another person then asked: "Aside the known meaning is there a hidden one?"

There doesn't appear to be a hidden meaning to the name "Riot," but Rose has always been a popular name and describes the popular flower.

Rihanna and A$AP have yet to reveal the meaning behind the name Riot Rose Mayers. However, the rapper did release a song named Riot earlier this year.

Ironically, one of the lyrics in the closing moments of the song is: "Called your baby mama up, yep, I nighty-night it," which could have possibly been a hint at the couple welcoming a child and naming him Riot.

Fans have reacted to the alleged name of the couple's second child, with one person taking to Twitter to pen: "He must really like this song he made," referring to A$ AP's hit Riot. Another then added: "Named that baby after boys world's best song YUPPPPPP!"

Meanwhile, the couple named their first son RZA after Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA. He seems to have the same middle name as his father, whose real name is Rakim Athelston Mayers.
