Ekin-Su and Davide faced questions about their rekindled romance as they appeared every bit the happy couple at Tuesday night's NTAs. The former Love Island winners walked hand-in-hand as they faced questions from red carpet reporters.
The pair split earlier this year after their sensational win during ITV's dating show season in 2022. Davide spoke previously of "struggles" due to their rapid rise to stardom, while Ekin was thought to be understandably 'gutted' at the break-up. But the two appeared to put the past behind them at last night's National Television Awards, telling journalists that they are "enjoying each other's company". After being asked if they were in a "platonic relationship", Davide appeared to crack a joke.

Ekin told a TalkTV reporter: "Leave it to the imagination... you can label it whatever you want to label it. But we are enjoying each other's companies [sic] and we're very happy."
After Davide's second attempt at humour, making a reference to an Italian saying about roses, Ekin broke into laughter before the journalist probed, "So is it a romantic relationship?". The former actress replied: "Do you have a romantic relationship?"
Finally breaking silence on the ordeal, Ekin confessed: "The thing is, relationships are like rollercoasters, right? A real relationship has its ups and downs, right?" Davide agreed with a verbal "yeah" before the reporter asked if they would be "getting back on an upward trajectory". "We're happy, we're very happy," Ekin replied. Davide chimed in, "And we're enjoying the rollercoaster, so" before his co-star added: "Yes we are, so we're going to hold on tight."

Speaking about their break-up previously, Davide explained: "Me and Ekin-Su had our struggles due to our public positions and we still have them sometimes. If there's something that I would change or would have done differently [with Ekin-Su in the villa] maybe I would have taken things a bit more slowly."
An insider said at the time the pair broke things off earlier this year: "It’s fair to say Ekin is gutted about the split. She has worked really hard to make it work. She has stood by Davide after a series of cheating rumours, and was surprised when he decided to chuck it all in.
"The pair have been arguing a lot and while Davide is saying it’s a long time coming, Ekin doesn’t feel like that." Davide broke the news the pair had split in an official statement earlier this year. "Ekin Su and I are no longer together," he said.
"I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best. I would like for everybody to respect the decision during this difficult time. I will continue to support Ekin in anyway possible."
