This is the horrific moment a 6ft 6 student beat a teacher unconscious after she took his Nintendo Switch console away.

The 17-year-old male, who attends Matanzas High School in Palm Coast in Florida, US, is seen running towards the female teacher before punching her to the ground.

He then repeatedly stomps on the teacher before hitting her 15 times as she laid unconscious on the floor.

Several staff members turn around after hearing the attack and run to help the teacher as they try and pull the boy, who weighs nearly 20 stone, off her.

When emergency services arrived they found the teacher in a small pool of blood and unconscious.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment but is expected to recover from her injuries, according to authorities.

Flagler County Sheriff’s Office released a separate video of the attacker being arrested inside a classroom and placed in handcuffs.

Police said the motive behind the attack was due to the student having his Nintendo Switch console confiscated.

In a statement police said: "The student stated that he was upset with the victim because she took his Nintendo Switch away during class."

According to the arrest report, the student began spitting in the teacher’s direction after she took his device and told police he was "going to kill her" when he returned back to school.

He also said he "will beat her up every time she takes away his game," officers said.

The boy asked police on multiple occasions when he would be released.

But when he was told he had to stay under arrest he lashed out by kicking a desk and became violent, according to officers.
