Paulie Malignaggi mocks Conor McGregor by describing UFC star in one word

Paulie Malignaggi has renewed his rivalry with Conor McGregor by calling the UFC legend "neutered".

McGregor labelled himself as "relentless" whilst replying to a fan post on Twitter that asked users to describe him in one word. Malignaggi, who has been butting heads with McGregor for years, replied to the same post but wasn't as complimentary as he bizarrely suggested the Irishman has been castrated.

Malignaggi helped out former two-weight UFC champion McGregor for his crossover fight against ring legend Floyd Mayweather in 2017 as the pair sparred each other. A rivalry between them formed as Malignaggi was furious with leaked footage of the spar showing him being knocked down by McGregor, as he challenged the Irishman to release footage of their entire training session.

Fans have since mocked Malignaggi for still taking aim at McGregor six years on from their falling out, as one user commented: "It’s been six years" with another adding: "Crazy how he’s still in your head all these years on, let it go pal." A third comment read: "Losers focus on winners." A final user called for the full sparring video between Malignaggi and McGregor by joking replying: "I’m legit trying to see the whole clip of y’all sparring though."

Malignaggi retired just days after his knockout loss to Sam Eggington in 2017 but he did crossover to bare-knuckle boxing two years later to fight McGregor's former teammate Artem Lobov. The 42-year-old previously ruled out any chance of a comeback for him and McGregor to settle their feud in the ring.

"I mean, I wouldn't put it past anything but I don't think Conor McGregor is ever going to want to fight me," Malignaggi told SiriusXMBoxing. "The only way that I'd fight Conor McGregor is if it's winner-takes-all at this point. I wouldn't fight Conor McGregor, there wouldn't be any kind of negotiations it's either winner-takes-all or we don't fight.

"At this point he's got everybody convinced he's better and there's more than enough money in the pot. He makes more money fighting me than anybody else other than maybe Jake Paul. So, I don't see him taking that kind of deal, so there's probably not going to be a fight."
