Two tourists visiting Edinburgh were left 'in stitches' over the unexpected 'view' from their city centre hotel room.
Catherine Round and her friend Jane had travelled to the Scottish capital to see The Killers perform at the Royal Highland Centre on Tuesday, August 29.
The duo, buzzing with excitement to see one of their favourite bands, booked a twin room at the Premier Inn on Princes Street. Known for its affordable prices and variety of rooms, some with windows and others without for a lower price, the Premier Inn seemed like the perfect choice.
Catherine opted for a room with a window, hoping to soak in the stunning views of the city. However, upon entering the room, they discovered that the window was covered with a frosted film, obscuring any potential view.

After sharing their amusing experience on a popular Facebook group, the photo quickly went viral, garnering 4.7k likes. Catherine added: "Someone more nosey than us had picked off the corner [of the film] so we saw what was behind."
Much to their relief, the film wasn't concealing a breathtaking view of the castle but rather a block of grey metal generators at the back. Despite the lacklustre 'view', Catherine concluded: "I would say the room was great!"
