New claims have been made about Kate Moss and sister Lottie’s fraught relationship, suggesting that the pair are no longer "as close" as they once were.
Speaking to the MailOnline, the unnamed source, described as a ‘family member’ explained that the half-siblings are "very different people", but that it doesn't cause their dad, Peter Moss, concern. Kate, 49, and Lottie, 25, share the same father but have different mums. Kate’s mum Linda split from Peter when the catwalk superstar was a teenager, and Lottie’s mum is Swedish model, Inger.
The source told the publication: “There was a time when they were a lot closer. There’s a huge age gap between Kate and Lottie, they are from different generations and very different people.
“There’s nothing more to this. There’s always a bit of stuff between siblings but this is not that serious. Peter and Inger have no plans to intervene or bring the two girls together because there’s nothing major to resolve. It’s just normal family stuff that doesn’t need to be discussed."
Since finding fame in the 1990s mum-of-one Kate has been famously tight-lipped, rarely giving interviews or commenting on drama on or off the runway. Her silence has added an element of mystery to her career, and helped elevate her to fashion icon status. On the other hand, Lottie has been incredibly vocal - including about her famous big sister and their dynamic.

She said: “Every person's house I go to they have some sort of Kate Moss poster, Kate Moss book, Kate Moss Diet Coke can, and everyone brings her up. I've felt for a very long time that nothing I did was ever going to be as good as what she's done. I can't top that, so where does that leave me?”
While Lottie now makes content for OnlyFans, she did start off doing more traditional modelling. After being spotted when she was a bridesmaid at Kate’s 2011 wedding to Jamie Hince, she shot campaigns for Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and D&G.
However in 2021 she quit the industry to focus on making X-rated content as she didn’t like “being controlled”.
