EastEnders aired a bombshell this week as Cindy Beale was revealed to be alive to shocked Walford residents.
Not only that, but the BBC soap aired the moment that Walford also found out she was the mystery Rose Knight, George Knight's ex and mother to his daughters Anna and Gina. Cindy was killed off offscreen in prison in 1998, but a twist earlier this year revealed she was actually in witness protection.
It then emerged that she left her life as Cindy behind and became Rose, before marrying George and starting a family with him in Marbella. During Cindy's years away from Walford, a series of tragedies have hit the Beales, the family she left behind. Cindy also walked out on the Knights in 2014, with it recently explained she fled after hearing her daughter Lucy had been murdered.
Some fans have been a bit confused as to which of the Beale kids and the Knights are Cindy's children, and who was born first. Cindy actually has five children, and her stepson is Bobby Beale.

Lucy died in 2014 (BBC/Nicky Johnston)So who was born first and how old are the children? Who are their dads, and what became of Cindy's kids? Cindy's first child was Steven Beale, the son of Simon Wicks. Born in 1989, he was the firstborn of the family and raised by Cindy's husband Ian Beale.

Steven is the oldest of the group, while sadly he was killed off in 2017 after being attacked by Max Branning following a fire Steven had caused. Cindy was away at the time of his death, and he wasn't the only child of hers to lose their life.
After Steven, Cindy welcomed twins Lucy and Peter Beale in December 1993. Cindy has a locket with their birthdate engraved on it, currently in the possession of her daughter Anna Knight. Lucy and Peter grew up with their mother until her apparent death in 1998, shortly after she'd been sent to prison for trying to have Ian killed.

Cindy actually welcomed one more child before her exit, Cindy Williams also known as Cindy Jr. Cindy was born in prison, and Ian was told Cindy Snr had died during childbirth. Cindy Jr is the daughter of Cindy's ex Nick Holland. Cindy was born in 1998 and is 24 years of age while she is no longer in Walford.
We don't know exactly what year George and Rose/Cindy met and when they tied the knot, but we do know how old Cindy and George's youngest child is. Anna is the younger sibling, with her celebrating her 21st birthday during the episode on Monday 28 August.

It's thought Gina is around 22 or 23 years old while the soap has not confirmed this. Gina and Anna are younger than the Beales and Cindy Jr, while Peter and Lucy's stepbrother Bobby is younger than all of them.
He is of no blood relation to Anna and Gina, and he was born on the show in 2003. His mother was Ian's wife Laura Beale who tragically died by falling down the stairs in 2004. Ian and Laura had split after Laura moved on with Garry Hobbs, while DNA results confirmed Ian was Bobby's father.
