EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw has hinted there could be a link between Mick Carter's exit and the dead body found at Christmas.
In a special flashforward scene which aired earlier this week, it was confirmed there will be a dead body this Christmas as the six matriarchs of the BBC soap - Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) - were seen standing around a dead body.
Hints have been dropped about the identity of the person and their connection with the Square, but fans will have to wait to find out exactly what happened to that person and who might be responsible for their death.

A body is found this Christmas (BBC)Meanwhile, Kellie Bright - who plays Linda Carter on the BBC One soap - previously teased who she thinks the victim is.
"Well, I mean this is all guess work on my behalf, but in my mind I haven’t done it. But that is just based on nothing other than what I think or felt when we were filming it," she shared of her own opinion on the person's identity.
"I’ve got a feeling, I had a very strong feeling, or more of an idea that the victim was going to be a really big player in this show and I’ve slightly changed my mind, and I think it might be someone who is not in the show yet. A character that we’re yet to meet."
Mick is still a missing person (BBC)However, she is convinced her character won't be the one to see to the person's demise.
"If I had to put money on it, I don’t think it’s me and I don’t think it’s Di [Diane Parish]. I also think it could be a group thing, with the women all protecting each other but who knows, they could be protecting Linda!" she added.
