A tiny flat in London where a sofa is squeezed into the kitchen and there is no living room has hit the market for a whopping £ 1,257 a month.

People looking for a house to rent are well aware of the astronomical prices especially in the capital while the country suffers from a cost of living crisis. And anyone interested in this property would also have to put up a hefty £1,450 deposit.

The apartment's major selling point in its listing is its location in sought after Camden, north London, with all the amenities nearby "and the popular Camden Market". The property also has bike storage.

It comes with a tiny kitchenette with minimal cooking space and has a small fridge, oven and washing machine underneath the counters. As there is no space for a living area, a grey sofa has been squashed in which is just centimetres from the kitchen appliances.

There is a small gap, big enough to fit a coffee table and although there is no space for a TV, a new tenant can watch the washing machine spin for entertainment as the sofa faces the appliances. In the corner next to the oven, there is a dining table with one plastic chair.

Directly behind the sofa is an unusual sleeping arrangement with a double bed inside a cupboard which can be folded away to create slightly more space. A bathroom has a small walk-in shower.

There is a reasonable sized back garden which actually seems bigger than the flat which has been described as a "spacious studio" in the listing and is available to let immediately.

The listing reads: “Fantastic spacious studio on Camden Road, set within a gated and secure period house with bike storage. This lovely self-contained studio property has a white gloss fitted kitchen, neutral decor, wood floors, double glazed, bright and airy studio room with lots of storage space and access to a communal garden.

”Camden Road is enviably located moments from the heart of the bustling Camden Town with a wide range of amenities and the popular Camden Market, not to mention the stunning surroundings of Regent's Park and canal walks nearby. Transport links include Camden Town Underground Station (Northern Line) and Camden Road Rail Station (National Rail and London Overground) for links into, out and around central London.”
