Pontefract hosts a seven-race card on Wednesday, with Newsboy's nap, Tele Red, running in the 4.20

TELE RED (4.20) fits the bill in the RIU Hotels And Resorts Ladies Day Veterans' Handicap over a mile at Pontefract.

Karl Burke’s six-year-old had previously won a handicap at Beverley last September but then went through a barren spell, before bouncing back to form eight starts later over the same trip at Haydock last month, ridden by Sam Feilden.

The gelding repeated the feat at York 12 days ago in a career-best performance, leading a furlong out to win cosily by two and a quarter lengths from Hartswood.

Feilden is again on board and, crucially, the claimer takes 7lb off his back. A hat-trick bid looks on the cards for this course winner, who will like the give in the ground.

YOUARENOTFORGIVEN (4.30) is currently in great form and is another aiming for a hat-trick of victories in the Carlsberg Danish Pilsner Brighton Mile Challenge Handicap at Brighton.

The six-year-old, trained by Tony Carroll, carried his head quite high and failed to settle in the early stages when winning at Newbury last month over the same mile trip.

But he won comfortably enough in the end under Mollie Phillips, with the second, The Cruising Lord, scoring on his next run.
