The whole cast will of the Love Island 2023 summer series joined host Maya Jama in the studio and on the famous Aftersun sofa, including runners-up Whitney and Lochan, Ella and Tyrique who finished in third place, and Molly and Zachariah, who landed in fourth place after their whirlwind romance in the villa, and of course, the winners, Jess and Sammy.
Although viewers were over the moon to have the opportunity to catch up on how the finalist's love lives were going after three blissful yet dramatic months in the Mallorcan villa, the reunion didn't go without any drama as a number of the castmates threw snide digs and outright abuse at one another after one of the most explosive and controversial series in Love Island history.
As the reunion kicked off tonight, all eyes were on Kady McDermott, who re-entered the villa this summer seven years after she first appeared on the ITV2 dating show back in 2016. Since leaving the villa, Kady hasn't been shy about throwing her fellow islanders under the bus, as she has slammed islanders including Molly and Zachariah, Mitch, Whitney, and Scott in interviews, on podcast appearances, and on social media.
Tonight, after an awkward conversation with Molly, where Kady questioned her fellow islander on why she 'dislikes' her, Kady was confronted by Molly's new boyfriend Zachariah who told the Love Island star to keep his and Molly's names out of her mouth.
Zach said it was 'clear' who had been spilling the tea outside the villa, before he turned to Kady and said: "Our names are in your mouth, your name isn't our mouths. I feel I speak for the both of us when I say we wish you nothing but happiness and good health."
Love Island's Haris spills on unaired row between Zara and TanyelKady then hit back: "Zach, enjoy your 15 minutes," before the basketball player clapped back: "I don't talk about people behind their backs. I'm not one for drama like that."
Since leaving the show, Kady has revealed that she does not see a friendship with Molly on the outside after claiming Molly didn’t like her. This is probably true after Kady stole Zach from her and got her booted off the show, only for her to come back as a bombshell and rekindle their romance.
Sitting on the couch next to Molly and Zachariah, things became awkward as Kady revealed that she was 'deeply hurt' by Molly's reaction to her being axed from the show. After Molly told the other girls that she was 'glad' that Kady had been booted out of the villa, Kady watched at home with tears in her eyes as she admitted that she never wanted to fall out with Molly.
"I wish these two all the best and wish it could have been different. But they are so cute together. I was hurt, I didn't know why Molly didn't like me, but I've moved on now," Kady told Maya when quizzed on the drama.
Speaking to the Kiss Fresh podcast earlier this week, Kady gave some insider insight into what Molly as like when they were filming the show: “So basically, Molly off-camera, I know she would talk to girls in the set-up chats, but off-camera, lunch and dinner, and down days, she wouldn't talk to any of the girls. She'd completely segregate herself. She'd either be on her own or be with Zach. But then on the down days, you couldn't be with the boys, you had to be separated.”
Molly’s now boyfriend Zach also took aim at Kady and the recent comments she has been making, saying: “This retired pocket rocket has been saying quite a bit" as Mitch scoffed: "She's been messy, she's been making me look clean! She's roasting everyone." Zach continued: "I can't even bro. I'm not going to deal with it. Each to their own. We've all left this gaffe, I'm very happy with how I left."
