Jake Paul has slammed "crazy" Nate Diaz after being choked by the American during their boxing bout on Saturday night.
Paul comprehensively defeated Diaz over 10 rounds at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Diaz came on stronger in the later rounds, but it wasn't enough to prevent a defeat, with the judges scorecards reading 97-92, 98-91 and 98-91 in favour of Paul.
But in one bizarre incident in the ninth round, Diaz jumped into a guillotine choke of Paul as the YouTuber attempted to clinch with him. It was a move that left Paul stunned, with the American warning he would have hit Diaz back harder if the fight had been in MMA.
"He f****ng choked me, he was actually choking me. No, he actually was. I was like 'This was crazy'. I didn't think he was going to stop but he had it in, obviously I wasn't going to try and defend it," he said.
"It's just funny, that's why I want to do the rematch back in MMA. It's fun man, I'm with all the s***. If it was in MMA, I would have dropped to double leg then picked him up and dropped him on his head.

"We were talking to each other the whole fight. He was saying words that I can't repeat here but I was like 'Man, where's all that talk now? Boom, gotcha! Shut up.' It was fun, when you are in there with another dog you can sense it and it just makes the sport more fun.

"He’s real tough, that’s what he’s known for but tough in this sport doesn’t work. I knocked him and won basically every round, I had him hurt in the first round and he kept on coming."
Diaz did address the incident after the fight, joking he had won the MMA battle. And he confirmed that he had accepted Paul's offer to fight their rematch in the MMA, with Paul having signed for the super-fight PFL division.
"I wasn't trying to but I had the single leg [takedown] in the first round and the choke in the ninth, so I won that battle," Diaz said of the choking incident.
"We're going to have to co-promote with Real Fight Inc. He's big and he's tough, I wish I could have done better things but some s***, it didn't go the way I wanted it to. I should have trained better and done better things but it’s all good. He won this one but I'll fight anyone, I don't give a f***."
