An urgent appeal has been made to find a home for a 'super chilled' dog after he packed his bag ready to leave Forest Dog Rescue in Kidderminster - but sadly, nobody turned up to collect him. The rescue posted on Facebook to share that the poor pooch had been "badly let down", urging people to find him a home as soon as possible, listing all his positive traits.

They wrote: "Poor Sydney has been badly let down. He had a bath, spruced himself up, and packed his bags but he is now looking for a new home that actually wants him." They explained that he was around seven or eight-years-old, describing him as a "golden oldie."

They described him as a "dream", saying that he "walks well on the lead, is super chilled, loves fusses and cuddles, good with dogs and cats, and also tries to be clean in his kennel." They shared that they didn't have a bad word to say about the adorable hound, saying they were "gutted" about his situation, but saying he'd eventually find a home for him that would "love him unconditionally."

The rescue said that they hoped Sydney would be lucky and find his new home soon, urging people to request an adoption questionnaire via email.

In the comments, people cooed over the adorable dog, stating that he didn't look like a golden oldie, he looked like he was "in his prime." One wrote: "Oh he is gorgeous, can I have an application form please?" Another said: "I hope there was a good reason to let him down like that. Don't worry Sydney, your best life and best family will show up very quickly."
