Bayern's Kane confidence shows after off-field gesture ahead of £95m deal

Bayern Munich are so confident that they will sign Harry Kane in a deal worth £95million that they have already arranged a luxury Bavarian villa for the England striker to live in.

Sources in Germany have confirmed that the Bundesliga champions are preparing for Kane’s arrival from Tottenham by finding him a new home in the millionaire’s enclave of Grunwald on the outskirts of the city.

Former Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge would be a neighbour, as would several team-mates including ex-Manchester City winger Leroy Sane. It is one of the most sought after locations for Bavaria’s rich and famous.

Bayern are also in discussions with Kane’s advisers about what number he will wear - and have already reserved him a seat in the dressing room. The German giants are continuing to crank up the pressure on Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to sell his talisman.

Levy is demanding £120million to even contemplate cashing in on his club’s most prolific goalscorer - but that is deemed too rich for Bayern, who are prepared to shatter their transfer record despite Kane having just a year left on his contract.

They are willing to pay £87million up-front, with a package of add-ons worth a further £8million. Bayern had initially set a two-week deadline after tabling their third bid for the 30-year-old.

But they are now prepared to go until the final hours of the transfer window after being told by coach Thomas Tuchel that their hopes of winning the Champions League will hinge on bringing in a goalscorer of Kane’s calibre.

Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen plans to resume talks with Levy in the coming days. Kane will become the club’s highest-paid player after being offered a £400,000-a-week deal and all the talk at Bayern’s Sabener Strasse HQ is now about when the England captain will report for training.

Bayern face RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup next Saturday, but are hoping to have Kane signed and sealed in time for their opening Bundesliga game against Werder Bremen on August 18.

The Germans allowed Robert Lewandowski to leave for Barcelona last summer and were unable to land a replacement. The addition of a marquee No 9 can help Tuchel make Bayern Champions League contenders once more as their summer rebuild continues with Sadio Mane among the casualties.
