Billionaire boat brokers spill on selling pricey yachts to A-List stars

A group of glamourous super yacht brokers have spilled on what it is like to sell pricey boats to A-list clients. New show Hot Yachts Miami sets to follow the brokers as they make eye-watering commissions on some of the most expensive vessels around.

They ruthlessly compete to secure the highest commissions and best clients, all in the stunning location of a billionaire's playground. The celebs and businesspeople buying the yachts aren't the only ones enjoying the elite lifestyle, as the cast get their fare share of fun-filled antics.

Kalie, who has been in the yachting world of the last four years, wants to become the most successful female broker in Florida. Her hustles have paid off as she makes a lot of her connections by word of mouth, social media and networking. She rubs shoulders with celebs and told the Mirror exactly what it is like trying to sell to the A-list stars.

She said: "I can't disclose exactly who, but you know, everything is just networking, you have one client, and then you do a great job with them. And then they pass your name over to another client, and then another celebrity. It's just everything is just kind of like a domino effect. And that's why I'm so big on keeping those relationships very close to me. And that's, that's the most thing that I value in this business.

"Because if you do good by one person, that person is going to tell another friend and another friend, but if you do terrible by one person, that time is going to tell five to 10 people or even more. So your reputation in this business is literally everything. You can't survive without it."

One of the top super yacht brokers around Katya, also spilled on working with top clients. She told The Mirror: "I mean, I think if you think about it, most celebrities don't actually own they charter. So as far as people that actually buy $30 to $40 million yachts, they're typically not celebrities. They're typically high profile businessmen. Some are more known than others. I mean, I sell the yachts to sports team owners. We don't like naming names. I've sold to a couple of sports team owners. I've charted to a number of celebrities."

The new series features eight, sixty minute episodes following the lives of the eight brokers. Expect to see the Instagrammable lives, glamour and romance, together with and a good dose of gossiping, backstabbing and drama as some of the biggest characters in Miami’s luxury yachting scene go to any lengths to make the biggest deals.
