Dallas Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs brandished quarterback and team captain Dak Prescott as a 'b****' during a practice session in training camp.
NFL teams are back in pads for the first time since last season, with training sessions heating up ahead of the new season getting underway in September - with the Cowboys looking to bounce back from a disappointing end of the year.
Coming off the back of a season where he threw a league-high 15 interceptions, Prescott himself will need to improve. He is set to work with a new offensive coordinator in Brian Schottenheimer - former playcaller for Russell Wilson with the Seattle Seahawks, after the team fired Kellen Moore following Prescott's year.
The Cowboys are giving Prescott the stamp of confidence to run their offense, with the freedom to call his own plays at times - although brings it's own pressure for the 30-year-old.
And in one of the very first sessions against his defense, Prescott was not shown much respect by the team's highest-paid defensive player.
Joe Burrow backs Patrick Mahomes after Kansas City Chiefs reach Super BowlOn one play caught on camera by a reporter, Diggs shouted at Prescott 'shut your b**** a** up' as the quarterback scrambled with linebacker Leighton Vander Esch ready to hit him if they'd have been in a game. Prescott then threw the ball at Diggs as they both made their way back to their huddles.
The Cowboys has a solid regular season last year, finishing with a 12-5 record, despite being without Prescott for five games. He threw 23 touchdowns to 15 picks in the regular season, before struggling in a playoff defeat to the San Francisco 49ers.
With the team having a strong roster in a weakened NFC, Dallas remains one of the favourites to make it to the Super Bowl, along with the aforementioned Niners and Philadelphia Eagles.
And Prescott's star receiver CeeDee Lamb has already added pressure onto the quarterback, confirming that the offense will run through him.
He told reporters: "All the offense is in Dak's hands now. It’s not necessarily being called from Mike or Kel since last year. It’s all on Dak. However he’s feeling versus the coverage, if he likes the matchup, we’re gonna call that play.
"Dak is being very aggressive. And he's looking for the deep ball now. And as you [saw at camp on Saturday], it's up there. So if you're not gonna back up, this is a warning to everybody, if you're not gonna back up, good luck."
