Fortnite's next anime crossover has been announced, with a Jujutsu Kaisen collab that will see skins based on the characters roll out in update 25.30 next week.
Fortnite is no stranger to anime collabs, and this year alone we've had an elaborate Attack on Titan crossover with the Eren Jaeger Quests, as well as two new batches of Dragon Ball Super skins. Gohan and Piccolo were included in January's update 23.30, while a Goku Black skin debuted in Chapter 4 Season 2 back in March.
Epic Games isn't slowing down with the anime crossovers, announcing a Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen collab this week on Twitter, showing four characters that will be joining the game as skins next week. One of the characters seems to cast a spell towards the end of the trailer. Considering Bender's Fortnite ray gun is set to disappear from the game alongside update 25.30, there's a chance a Jujutsu Kaisen-themed Mythic item could take its place.
Jujutsu Kaisen begun its life as a manga in 2018 when it debuted in the Shonen Jump magazine (home to series like One Piece, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, and Dragon Ball). Jujutsu Kaisen follows a group of young sorcerers who can control the cursed energy that flows through everyone's body as a result of negative emotions. The manga was then adapted into an anime series in 2020 and it was just as popular with fans.
Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen: release date
Epic Games posted a Tweet in the same thread, confirming that the Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen release date will align with update 25.30. Fortnite update 25.30 is expected to drop on Tuesday, August 8 with the content being available once servers are back online. This will probably be around 11am BST / 6am EDT / 3am PDT, give or take an hour.

What's included in the Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen crossover?
So far, all that has been confirmed by Epic for the Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen collab are four skins:
Yuji Itadori
Satoru Gojo
Nobara Kugisaki
Megumi Fushiguro
While the only official content confirmed for the Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen crossover are the skins, reputable Twitter leaker, @ShiinaBR, has leaked screenshots of additional themed items that will be included with each character bundle:
- Nobara Kugisaki bundle: Straw Doll Back Bling, hammer Pickaxe
- Megumi Fushiguro: Kon Back Bling, sword Pickaxe, two Emotes
- Satoru Gojo: Sweet Selection Back Bling
@ShiinaBR hasn't made mention of a Mythic item so we'll have to wait and see if players get a substitute for the ray gun.
Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen: price
While it hasn't been confirmed which items in the Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen crossover will be free and which you'll have to buy, @ShiinaBR's suggests a split of skins you have to buy and one that you may be able to unlock for free. As it stands, these are the leaked prices shared by the leaker so far:
The Satoru Gojo bundle image included in the leak had listed for 1 V-Buck, and while that would be a great deal, we imagine it'll end up being 1,700 or 1,800 V-Bucks based on the price of the others bundles.
Because Yuji Itadori wasn't included when the skins were first leaked last week, players are speculating that he may be unlockable through quests rather than locked to the Item Shop. We'll know for sure when the Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen skins arrive in game next week.
