Love Island's Mitch Taylor has revealed he suffered an injury when winner Jess Harding pied him in the face during a challenge. The season 10 contestant confessed he suffered a split lip during the task.
The Sheffield-based gas-engineer, 26, took to his Instagram to share inside secrets from his time on the summer series of the hit ITV2 show. He took the time to answer questions from fans, where one person asked: "How did it feel getting all those pies?" They were referring to the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge, where Mitch received the most amount of pies to the face due to his antics with Abi and Ella B.
He replied saying: "To be honest with you, don't cry over spilt cream for starters. And Jess did throw one at me that hard that it bust my top lip. Which she apologised for, so no one even attempt to give her hate. Because a challenge is a challenge. But, I didn't mind it. Had a bit of a facial, and I'm chilling."
Mitch cut his lip when Jess pied him in the challenge (ITV)Mitch was booted out of the show at the final hurdle alongside his partner Ella B when he lost a public vote against Whitney and Lochan, just a day before the final. During his time in the villa, Mitch was criticised by viewers for his treatment of fellow Islanders including Molly and Abi. When he first stepped into the villa, he and Molly Marsh hit it off but when Zachariah arrived, she expressed an interest in getting to know Zach, leaving Mitch fuming.
He tried things with pal Jess but realised they were better as friends and when Abi came in, he was adamant she was the one and they quickly coupled up. However, when Ella B arrived, his head turned to her but the break up between him and Abi was messy, with the pair still firing shots at one another right until Abi's exit.

Towards the end, after they survived a dumping, Mitch shared with the boys that he felt Ella B was "fake" and only wanted to be with him so she could remain in the villa. When he was confronted by her about it, he denied making the remark. However, following their exit the clip was finally shown to Ella.
The couple appeared on Aftersun with Maya Jama where Ella and the viewers were in for a huge shock. "I've never seen aftersun drag someone like I have seen Mitch being dragged, him and Ella aren't lasting the taxi home! #loveIsland," one wrote, whilst another fan added: "Wow #EllaB & #Mitch are really not together at all! Look at the distance between them on the soda! Nowhere near each other not touching! #LoveIsland #LoveIslandAftersun."
A third shared: "Have Mitch and Ella B already broken up? #loveisland," as a fourth added: "Mitch gets dumped from and the producers are ROLLING THE TAPES! We won! #LoveIslandAfterSun #LoveIsland."
