This is the terrifying moment masked raiders break into a home before holding residents to knifepoint in a daylight raid. The scary CCTV footage was released by brave occupants in the hope it can help bring the criminals to justice.

Intruders broke into the property on Perch Avenue in Chelmsley Wood, Solihull, West Midlands, at around 5.15pm on Friday. After entering the home, thugs took off with a large amount of money, West Midlands Police said.

Vicky Bygrave, who was at home with her mum and brother, said the family had been left shaken by the episode. The 36-year-old said her sibling was "dragged up the stairs at knifepoint" by the robbers who demanded cash, Birmingham Live reports.

The woman, who is a full-time carer, said: "I was locked in the living room with the dogs barking. I was trying to open he door but one of them was holding it shut." In the shocking video, two masked burglars casually stroll up to the property before letting themselves in. They appear to usher over more men before one pulls out what looks like a knife.

The pair enter before two more hoodied figures join them inside. All four raiders run out of the door and away from the property around a minute later. Vicky said she believed the property had been specifically targeted and told how her young son was thankfully out at the time. She explained the family had been forced to change the locks on their front door.

The distraught mum continued: "I have been suffering with panic attacks and I was just starting to get over them. Now they are back even worse. My brother has hardly slept and my son slept with a baseball bat next to him. My mum hasn't been to sleep yet and she suffers from multiple illness."
