Just when you thought you'd seen it all, Jackass star Zach Holmes took it one step further and had fans lick his back - to test water.

The daring TV star was part of a campaign by non-alcoholic drinks company Liquid Death. The controversial company revealed it "takes the internet’s complaints very seriously" so had to set up the taste test in answer to a troll's comment; a Twitter user randomly left a comment on a previous campaign to say they would rather "lick sweat off a fat guy’s back than drink Liquid Death".

So that's exactly what the bosses set up to put the words to the test, enlisting the help of Jackass’s Zach. Liquid Death invited 10 real people and Zach to participate in the official taste test to decide which is better. Needless to say - the water won, although it did come with a few shocks.

Zach told the Mirror he was "surprised" at just how many people were willing to test out the troll's claim. He said: "I was surprised how many people willingly licked a fat person. I’ve never been licked that many times in my life."

After watching the test online, fans shared their thoughts, with one YouTube user writing: "I threw up." Another was similarly unsure, commenting: "This video has permanently scarred me for the rest of my life."

However, others saw the funnier side of things, with one joking: "Thank you, Liquid Death, for this valuable information, I will treasure it and use this knowledge next time I'm thirsty."

The comments on Twitter weren't much different either, with one user calling it "classic," another saying it is "GOLD" and a third labelling it "too funny".

The campaign is the third instalment of Liquid Death’s blind taste test series. Last year, they revealed The Liquid Death Blind Taste Test, in which they put their product up against other premium water products. Months later, the beverage brand launched The Liquid Death Blind Taze Test in which they dared internet trolls to prove their opinion that Liquid Death is the worst water through a blind taste test of 10 different brands.

If they picked Liquid Death, they won $1,000 - but the catch was if they failed to pick the brand, they instead faced a shocking tase from a certified instructor. A number of other big-name celebrities have previously got on board with the advertising campaign, with partnerships including celebrities such as Travis Barker, Tony Hawk and Martha Stewart.
