The unsolved killings of a couple at an isolated farmhouse 30 years ago is being re-examined by detectives.
Pensioners Harry and Megan Tooze were shot at point blank range and their bodies dumped in a cowshed in 1993.
The murders of Harry, 64, and Megan, 67, have never been solved but have been linked to ‘Bullseye Killer’ John Cooper.
Last night, South Wales police announced a forensic review of the case working alongside top forensic scientist Dr Angela Gallop, who helped solve two other double murders carried out by evil Cooper.
Detective Superintendent Mark Lewis said: “We hope by using the latest forensic techniques, we can deliver justice for Harry and Megan.

“No outcomes can ever be guaranteed. Harry and Megan’s family will be kept updated.”
At the time of their deaths, their daughter’s boyfriend Jonathan Jones was convicted of the murders. But daughter Cheryl Tooze campaigned for his release and his conviction was ruled unsafe at the Court of Appeal.

Harry Tooze (Mirrorpix)The Toozes were found dead with gunshot wounds at their Ty Ar y Waun farmhouse in Llanharry, near Bridgend, South Wales, in July 1993.
Two gunshots were heard by neighbours but this was not considered unusual, being on a farm.
Cooper, who was dubbed ‘The Bullseye Killer’ after appearing on the dart-based quiz show hosted by Jim Bowen, is currently serving a whole life sentence for killing Richard and Helen Thomas in 1985 and Peter and Gwenda Dixon in 1989.

Following his conviction in 2011, it was revealed that detectives were investigating whether there was any link between Cooper and the Tooze murders, though no charges were brought.
Det Supt Lewis added: “This case has affected many people over the years and our aim is to find the answers to the unanswered questions which remain about their deaths 30 years on.”
