EastEnders spoilers have hinted Cindy Beale's arrival is imminent - as Anna rumbles her secret.
Anna - played by Strictly Come Dancing star Molly Rainford - is none the wiser about her mother's true identity. All she knows is that her mum is a lady called Rose Knight, who married her father George.
However, Rose is actually Cindy Beale, who of course has a huge history with the Square. She was given the name Rose after being put in witness protection due to an incident in prison, and now she wants to head back to Walford.
Next week on the BBC One soap, Anna looks closer to cracking the secret of Rose Knight. The Knights are quick to question Gina when Linda confirms that £200 is missing from the pub's takings. Gina is suspicious of Anna and soon realises that she was the one who stole the cash in a bid to hire a private investigator to track down their mum.
Gina plans to reveal all to George but before she can, Anna lies and says someone must have taken it. When they're alone, Gina tells Anna it's either her or her mum and after a chat with Bobby and Freddie, she decides she needs to find her mum.
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likenessThings get more tense between Gina and Anna when the latter meets with a private investigator to hand over all she knows about her mum's disappearance. George, meanwhile, soon gets to the bottom of why Anna took the money and tells her it's best to leave it as he worries Anna might get hurt by all that she finds.
Just when she plans to give up, the private detective calls and he's had a positive lead. Does this spell a return for Cindy to Walford, or will we have to wait a little bit longer to see Michelle Collins back on our screens?
Molly revealed what makes Anna want to search for her mum after all this time.
"Anna has a lot of conversations with Freddie and Bobby about finding people in their families and I think their curiosity to find their loved ones massively plays a part in Anna wanting to find her mum. That idea of having nothing to lose, in the sense of if she doesn’t find her then she’s no worse off, but if she does, she’ll get more information about herself and her identity. I think that’s the thing that overrides it and persuades her to reach out to the investigator," she said.
2She definitely feels guilty. Anna is selfless and I think this whole situation of trying to find her mum is quite out of character as she has never gone against her family before. I think it just shows how important it is to her as she definitely feels so guilty because she knows what has happened in the past and what the family went through."
