Michelle Keegan told fans the "secret's out" as she confirmed her exciting new Netflix gig.

The Coronation Street star, 35, will be playing Maya Stern in thriller Fool Me Once, which is based on the book by Harlan Coben.

Michelle shared a snap of herself reading the book by the swimming pool, sporting a straw hat and cream bikini.

She captioned the post: "I’m over the moon to be joining the cast of FOOL ME ONCE, a @netflixuk thriller based on the book by the extremely talented @harlancoben.

“Here we go."

The actress will play grieving mother Maya in the eight-part series, which also stars Joanna Lumley.

Maya's husband Joe has been brutally murdered and the story follows the mum, who installs a nanny cam in her house to keep her younger daughter safe.

However after spotting a man that looks like her husband in her house, things take a turn.

The book's author Harlan also wrote Stay Close, which was adapted by Netflix in 2021. The new series will be created by the same team.

It has not yet been announced when the series will air, but Netflix promises it’s “coming soon”.

Michelle was spotted on the set of the drama on Monday.

The actress cut a stylish figure on the first day of filming sporting a plaid coat with leopard print lining.

She teamed the look with a cream jumper and black trousers and wore her hair in a bun.

It's been a busy few months for the actress, who also wrapped on Sky's Brassic.

Telling fans she'd had a ball on the set, Michelle shared photos of the cast and crew, including comedian Lee Mack, who grinned inside the back of a van.

She captioned the snaps: "Can’t believe how fast these past 6 months have gone, 6 months filled with chaotic mayhem, freezing cold locations and a whole lot of love & dedication. Feel so lucky to be working on such a special show.

"Can’t wait for you guys to see what we’ve been up to. Big love as always."

Michelle also popped over to Dubai with her husband Mark Wright to watch Beyonce perform at the opening of the new Atlantis hotel.

The showbiz couple made sure they were camera ready for the glam bash, with the actress pulling out all the stop wearing a red dress and gloves.

Mark also looked dapper sporting a black tux as he posed for pictures with his wife on the red carpet.
