Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly being snubbed by Hollywood royalty over fears it could land them in hot water with Prince William and Princess Kate.

According to Newsnation, the couple's high-profile Montecito neighbours - which include the likes of Steven Spielberg, Julia Louise-Dreyfus and Rob Lowe - are reportedly giving the former senior Royals a wide-birth so as not to alienate William and Kate.

The media outlet even reported that the pair, who had one of Oprah Winfrey's most watched interviews ever in 2021, were not invited to the O Network entrepeneur's birthday party this year.

NewsNation's senior story producer told the outlet's host Nichole Berlie: "Everyone’s got a movie to sell and a Broadway play they want to debut on screen in London or [London’s] West End and they know that Prince William and Kate — who are the biggest [celebrity] gets over there won’t show if they think someone is friends with Harry and Meghan.

"My sources tell me it’s all about the money. And the big power players in Hollywood aren’t jeopardising their business for Harry and Meghan."

The claims come after it was reported that Harry and Meghan were denied permission to board Air Force One alongside Joe Biden on his way back to the US after the Queen's funeral. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's team reportedly had their request to board the iconic aircraft denied by the White House over fears it could harm relations with senior Royals.

A source alleged to MailOnline that Harry and Meghan's request was denied in case it caused a "commotion" and potentially caused irreparable damage the President's relationship with the Palace. According to the media outlet, Meghan and Harry's team "reached out to the White House to ask if the couple could get a ride back to the United States on Air Force One," with them allegedly noting how it would have made for a "grand photo opportunity".

The publication went on to claim it was an "immediate no from the Americans, with Biden's staff recognising it was a no-go". Sources also alleged there was barely any discussion to be had on the issue other than it being a "non-starter". The MailOnline also reported that Harry and Meghan are trying to gain political influence in the US and were hoping a flight on Air Force One will aid this.
