Love Island's Liam Reardon has candidly opened up about his and girlfriend Millie Court's decision to keep their romance away from the spotlight – and social media critics.
Welsh lad Liam, 23, met Essex lass Millie, 26, in the Love Island villa in the 2021 series and later went on to fall in love and scoop the £50,000 cash prize. After the show, things appeared to go well for the couple as they moved into a plush pad in Essex together and made loved-up public appearances.
However, a year after being crowned Love Island 2021's top couple, they called it quits in July 2022.
Months after their split, the pair decided to give their romance another try but kept the fact they were dating once again hidden from their fans.
After months of speculation, Liam and Millie confirmed they were back together but have since remained coy about their relationship – as they avoid posting snaps of one another on social media.

The couple split briefly last year before rekindling thingsIn an exclusive interview with the Mirror, Love Island winner Liam opened up about his and Millie's decision to keep their romance away from the spotlight this time around.
The reality star, who has recently launched his own events company called Panda Events, told the Mirror: "Me and Millie, we're doing well. We're taking things slow and kind of keeping it between us as much as possible. And just taking it day by day – we're enjoying it.
"I live on my own, she lives on her own and we're seeing each other throughout the week and it's going nice. We're not putting too much pressure on it.
"We just feel like before it was a case of me, her and everybody else in the relationship and, you know, it's between me and Millie and that's kind of it. Like I said, baby steps, but I'm enjoying the process."
He added: "It was partly the reason why we went our separate ways back last year, so now we want to kind of just have some sort of control.
"And some people say, 'Oh no one even cares that much'. I'm not doing it to try and be mysterious about our relationship, it was just the fact that a lot of people – the person saying that might not be – but a lot of people are very invested and sometimes it's nice, but it can get a bit too much sometimes."
It comes after Millie candidly discussed the breakdown of her relationship with Liam, revealing fans were behind the split.
She revealed in a YouTube question and answer session in April: "I am going to confirm that I am dating someone.
"But I'm not ready to tell you guys yet. And I love you guys and I love your support but it's early doors and you all experienced a whole, full blown meeting someone and a relationship on TV.
"You all saw it all unfold and then everything afterwards and as much as that was the best experience of my life, it is a lot when you have all eyes on you and your relationship.

"There's lots of judgements, lots of people sending you messages because they've seen the other person out - and it means absolutely nothing - they could just be talking to another person and people would be like, 'they're cheating on you'."
