Emmerdale could be set for drama for the Dingles, as a war between siblings left one resident forced to pick a side. Recent events in the village left two characters at risk of losing their jobs, resulting in a big decision.
As all became clear, Cain Dingle was left issuing a sinister warning to his son Nate Robinson, fearing he could end up in trouble. It came about as he walked into The Woolpack to find Nate and wife Tracy sitting with Caleb Miligan, Cain's brother.
Tracy and Nate had turned to Caleb for his help and investment in her new nursery venture, which she is still in the planning stages of. After a misunderstanding, Caleb agreed to help Tracy get everything in place and offered to be an investor.
Nate knew this could upset Cain given recent goings in, after it emerged Caleb had lied about who his father was - and his real reasons for being in the village.
Caleb was trying to destroy Kim Tate in revenge for his father Frank's death. He tried to get Kim on side and take everything she had, and in order to do this it required him to throw his own family under the boss.
Corrie's Sue Cleaver says I'm A Celebrity stint helped her to push boundariesThanks to Caleb sabotaging Cain's wife Moira Dingle's farm equipment for their food supplying business, the farm is in a bad way with business falling. Moira broke the news to Nate and her brother Mackenzie Boyd on Thursday that she could only afford to keep one of them on.
Nate was furious and he and Mack ended up clashing over who should stay. Nate saw it is a personal attack and accused his dad of not supporting him.
Suggesting he wouldn't be able to afford to feed his family, Nate lashed out at Cain and told him to leave him alone. Tracy used the news as a means of seeking Caleb's help, despite the recent family feud.
Nate had her back too and when Cain found out and questioned them for seemingly betraying him, Nate ended up once again lashing out at his father. Caleb watched on smugly as Cain did not get his own way, and Cain ended up lunging at his brother.
Nate stepped in to stop him though telling his dad to back off, clearly picking a side. Cain issued a warning though, telling his son: "He'll chew you up and spit you out. Don't say I didn't warn you."
So will Nate listen to his dad, or will he end up regretting teaming up with Caleb? Or could this be the moment Caleb proves the Dingles they can trust him?
Fans think Caleb could be using Nate to wind up Cain, with one viewer tweeting: "Oh just had a thought - is this why Caleb has offered to help? Cos he wants to drive a wedge between Nate and Cain?" One fan agreed: "It seems that way doesn't it," as a second wrote: "Of course."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
