NFL legend Michael 'Mike' Vick has named Andy Reid as the greatest coach of all-time, ahead of Bill Belichick.

The Kansas City Chiefs head coach won his second Super Bowl ring this past season alongside Patrick Mahomes, after winning his first in 2019 - coming in his 20th season after an incredible stint with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Reid is the only NFL coach to win 100 games and appear in four consecutive conference championships with two different franchises - but was never able to win a ring in Philadelphia.

Reid is rightly recognised as the greatest offensive coaches of all-time though, calling plays for the likes of Donovan McNabb, Mahomes and Vick himself. And it's that consistency that Vick believes separates him as the greatest to ever to do it.

Speaking on Tyreek Hill's It Needed To Be Said podcast, Vick said: "He might be the greatest coach of all time. You don’t have to win (as many) championships to be considered. After Andy won the Super Bowl, he only got two championships, but he went to like four or five NFC Championship games."

While Belichick does have four more Super Bowl rings as a head coach - they had all come alongside Tom Brady as his quarterback. And when Brady has not been his quarterback, Belichick surprisingly has a losing career record - winning 79 games and losing 88.

Vick added: "You know, I understand Belichick and Brady and that whole dynamic. But coach Reid did it in Philly, and then he’s doing it in KC."

Vick had been a dominant quarterback through the first six years of his career, becoming the first quarterback to ever rush for 1,000 yards in 2016 for the Atlanta Falcons.

He had become a cultural hero and beloved figure in the NFL around that time, but it all came crashing down just months later when he was arrested for his involvement in a dog-fighting scandal. Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison, serving 18 of them, while being cut from the Falcons.

After his release from prison, teams were hesitant to give him a second chance, with Eagles head coach Reid being the man who made the move to sign him.

Vick admitted he still has admiration and is thankful for him for giving him that call to this day. He said: "I just always admired him (coach Reid) as a play-caller… When he called, when I was waiting for a phone call for one of the teams, when I came out of prison.

"I love that man to death... like for real, literally, I’d do anything for you."
