Lana Del Rey will be headlining the Other Stage at Glastonbury Festival this weekend - but the American singer almost changed her mind completely when she spotted a 'mix-up' with the line-up announcement.

The original line-up post listed Arctic Monkeys, Guns N' Roses, Elton John and Lizzo before listing the remaining acts in alphabetical order.

Lana's name was below more than 20 other acts and the singer complained the poster failed to recognise she was headlining the Other Stage.

Writing on Instagram in a since deleted post, Lana sarcastically said: "Thanks for announcing that I was headlining the other stage. Thumbs up."

She also took to her private Instagram to share the poster and added: "Well, I’m actually headlining the 2nd stage. But since there was no consideration for announcing that, we’ll see."

The poster was subsequently re-released with Lana's name bumped up to the second row along side other big artists and Other Stage headliners including Lil Nas X, Wizkid and Yusuf/Cat Stevens.

Despite Lana's fury over the original poster, she confirmed earlier this year that she is still set to perform at Worthy Farm.

During an appearance on BBC Radio 1 in March, DJ Clara Amfro asked whether she's still planning to headline at Glastonbury, she said: "I am, I am, I am, I am. I've been excited to tell people, so I wanted to tell people because, as we started to announce some festivals, its unfathomable to me to headline the second stage of Glastonbury.

"They had asked me to play Glastonbury the last three years but we just weren't ready. I didn't want to say yes before we had a big band."

The American singer went on to recall her experience performing on the Pyramid stage in 2014.

"We did do it before, like eons ago," she said. "But honestly it feels like yesterday.

"I remember being on that stage vividly because I had never been on a stage where they set the crowd back about a thousand feet, so every time I tried to come forward past the monitors to get closer to everybody the feedback would ring through the crowd. I thought, 'Oh wow, I'm really stuck on this stage - I can't go down like I usually do and sing with everybody.'"

Meanwhile, Arctic Monkeys, another headliner, sparked chaos when the Sheffield rockers were forced to cancel their Dublin date ahead of Glastonbury.

The band were set to play an Irish date in Marlay Park on Tuesday June, 20, but have been forced to axe the gig due to Alex Turner suffering from "severe laryngitis".

Releasing a statement on social media, the band said: "We are extremely sorry to announce the cancellation of Arctic Monkeys' Show at Marlay Park in Dublin tomorrow.

"Alex is suffering from acute laryngitis, and following medical advice has been ordered to rest.

"Alex and the band apologise for the huge disappointment this will inevitably cause to all their Irish fans."
