The fixtures for the 2023-24 League Two season have been released, with some intriguing games in store on the opening weekend.

Much of the focus for some will be on Wrexham, who look poised to add to their already impressive squad under owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The newly-promoted side begin with a home game against MK Dons, who were relegated from League One last season and were playing Championship football as recently as 2015-16.

It's an away start for fellow promoted side Notts County, who travel to Sutton United. Elsewhere, Stockport County - beaten in last season's play-off final, will host Gillingham in their first game.

The two teams beaten in last season's play-off semi-finals find themselves on the road to begin the new campaign. Bradford City face Crawley Town, while Salford City kick off the new season with a trip to Forest Green Rovers, newly relegated from the division above.

Accrington Stanley, relegated with Forest Green and MK Dons, will host Newport County in their first fixture back in the fourth tier. The other team to drop down, Morecambe, will host Walsall.

Grimsby Town, fresh off their run to the quarter-finals of last season's FA Cup, will welcome AFC Wimbledon to Blundell Park for their opener. The remaining games see Colchester host Swindon, Crewe at home to Mansfield, Doncaster v Harrogate and Tranmere v Barrow.
