Selling Sunset star Amanza Smith updated fans on her health battles while preparing to undergo an operation to repair her spine after it was ‘eaten away’ by an infection.
The 46-year-old Netflix reality show star has been battling serious health conditions this year - revealing last month that she is ‘cancer free’ after enduring a scare.
However, she has since developed a debilitating infection on her spine which has worn away the bone that helps keep the body upright.
Amanza has been keeping fans updated with her progress and explained that she would be undergoing a second surgery to reconstruct her spine on Friday.

“Part of my spine has completely deteriorated due to the infection and I’ll be getting a new vertebrae and a couple of screws and rods in my spine to replace what has been eaten away from the bacteria.”
She then explained she was keeping the finer details to herself for the time being, but gave a broader explanation of what procedure she was about to endure.
She wrote: “This is my short caption version of the entire explanation but it’s enough to let you all know the gist of it all.
“I am in good spirits and positive that I will come out [100] percent after healing in 3/4 months.
“Life is a journey. This is just another part of my already very colorful story and I’m going to use it to inspire others to keep pushing through!”
Showcasing her infamous upbeat and resilient attitude, the Selling Sunset star finished off her update by thanking her followers for their support.
She wrote: “Thanking you all in advance for the well wishes, thoughts and prayers. I’ll see you all for an update very soon once the surgery is complete and I’m feeling social media friendly.”
Later, Amanda took to Instagram Stories to share another update from her hospital bed - where she also showed off a large number of bouquets she had received while getting medical care.
She began: “So um I wasn’t going to share this but its just too funny.
“First of all can you see all the beautiful flowers? My room smells like a dream. My friends are amazing.”

Finally getting to her point, she then coyly explained with a stifled giggle: “I just got a sponge bath.

Amanza has received support online from her Selling Sunset co-star - with boss Jason Oppenheimer among those sending her positive words, writing: “Love you” in response to her update.
